Thinking about how Kiibo tries so hard to be seen as a human and not a robot. He often gets offended when someone reminds him of his characteristics, he tries to avoid using his abilities as much as possible, and he reacts emotionally to the tragic events of the game. He is one of the more soft and sensitive people in the group. And although he is often guided by logic, feelings and emotions still play a big role in his perception.

All the while Kokichi tries really hard to NOT be perceived as a human. Masks sincere emotions behind exaggerated or inappropriate reactions, almost instantly switches between moods, talks about "resetting emotions", tries to distance himself from the group as much as possible, to such an extent that even his dying words are doubted. Many of his actions in the latest part of the game are best described by the word “inhuman.” He is the most cynical person in the group and one of the most cold-blooded ones.

But at the same time, they can't really change who they are. Kiibo has to accept himself and his abilities, which are only avilable to him. And Kokichi can't completely get rid of emotions and force himself not to feel anything, no matter how hard he tries.

Amalgamate Redraw!

Okay okay okay. There's this fanfic I LOVE called Amalgamate on Ao3 by DoctorHaifish. Like a ago I made fanart and I decided to redraw it . (Aka I saw it in an edit and I got really sick looking at it 0.o)

I can NOT recommend this fic enough. The writeing, the plot, The characters!! Omg Ithe way it expands on the characters and every little moment. Gosh the mystery, THE PLANS. Usally I know if a plan a character makes is gonna fail or not (if they explain the plan it will most likely fail) but this fic keeps you in a twilight zone where it feels like you know nothing and also everything. It does get EXTREMELY dark and characters are forced to swoop to unimaginable lows, so I can't recommend it to everyone, but there's always a sense of hope.

Onto the actual drawing. I leaned towards a more pyhcopop style and tried something along the lines of Mika Pikazo. My favorite one has to be Kiato, the drastic lighting along with the pose was fun to draw. I can't help but this Kokichi looks out of place compared to him seeing how wide his eyes are,

These colors were fun too, in the original I was obsessed with keeping a warm color pallete for some reason. This bright one really fits the vibe of Dangonropa better. These colors aren't my style either. Instead of analogous complementary for contrast I used analogous (dun dun dun!! 0A0) and used saturation for contrast.

Anyway! Please read Amalgamate and don't look at the old version!

firstly, he does everything you want him to do because he thinks that's how easy it will be to get you to realize he likes you

but it's not

secondly, he tries to just straight up tell you but it's hard to express his emotions

finally, he uses himself to print out a note that has his messy handwriting all over it

who knew he could be so forward when writing?

it read "i love you, (Y/N)! i hope you accept my feelings"

and it definitely got the message across

he's pretty nonchalant so it's difficult at first for him

he knows that gift giving is a pretty common way for someome to show their likeness towards someone

so he tries that (althought he might not be the best at giving gifts)

but when he does

you just think he's being friendly

kiyo, just like rantaro, will try showing more affection towards you

he touches your arms, plays with your hair etc

"everything about you is so wonderful..."

"i would like for you to share that wonder with me"

and that gets the message across

he would realize that you probably took his outright profession of love to you and chalked it up to him just being a good friend

as per usual

he woke up in a cold sweat about this and decided that starting tomorrow he'll be extra kind towards you

over the course of a few days, he creates a nickname for you

you guys hang out together even more you two are alone more often than not now

he held on to both of your hands and squeezed them

"(Y/N), i'm not sure else how to say this but...will you go out with me sometime?"

gonta accomodates you and invites you everywhere

he just wants to show that he likes you!

but the confusion you had finally gets cleared up when you get outside confirmation from miu that he is falling hard for you
